For the first 30 years of my life, I wore a cloak of obscurity. I didn't put myself out there as much I could have. Yes, I tried to get noticed, but I wasn't doing it right. I kept my story to myself and tried to make it look as if my company was 100X bigger than it really was. This little mistake hid the most important reason why anyone would want to do business with me - I hit behind a name. I didn't stand in front of it.
Obscurity killed my business. The fact is, if they didnt know me, how could they trust me? How could they do business with me? How could they really know what I am about if they dont know my story.
My life changed when I wrote a book. It was as if I came out from the shadows. It allowed me to meet amazing people, acquire speaking gigs, and be used as the central piece in building my business.
