Entrepreneurs break all the rules except one
There are many statistics out there that show what happens to Valedictorians after they graduate high school. You would think they go on to change the world. You would think they make it to the top. You would think they go on to win big.
But this is just not the case.
One article (of many), shows they go on to make decent money, but never make it to the top.

Why is that? I thought the education system was suppose to position us to win? I guess not. You see, the education system rewards conformity. It rewards people for playing by the rules. The one's who make it big in this world play by their own set of rules. This doesn't mean they do things that are wrong, unethical, or bad.
It simply means that they know that in order to win, they can't do life in the same manner as how everyone else does it. They will need to play the game according to their strengths. Period.
Entrepreneurs are not meant to play the game like all the others. We are the rule-breakers, rebels, and real Goonies of the world. The education system looks at us and tries to keep us under it's thumb. Unfortunately for them, we have other plans.
We write our own story. We play our game. We dance where and when we want to. We find a way to win, period.
Rules are not meant for us...EXCEPT ONE.

YOU CAN GO AFTER EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE, BUT YOU CANNOT DENY SOMEONE FROM GOING AFTER WHAT THEY WANT ALONG THE WAY.

It's the golden rule. Live your life your way, but don't be a scumbag and try to drag others down.
If you do, you will never get what you want. Never.
So next time you see something that you want, just remember the bagel story - You can have exactly what you want if you can stomach the courage and reach for it.
Maybe it's time to pull out the bandana, rock the sunglasses, and take the Harley out for a ride. After all, you are an entrepreneur. We write our own story. We aren't meant to conform. And we don't have time to slow down for EVERY yellow light.
Can you feel that sense of freedom? Others need to feel that too, so don't you dare try to stop them.
